Easy to take, 1 capsule per day. I just take it with a meal.It's supposed to be a very powerful antioxidant and the dosage per capsule here is very high.No side effects even on empty stomach.Cons:Bottle smells like paint when opened so just quickly get it over withEffects from this is very difficult to measure, like most supplements but overall I am satisfied with this product.

Don't be shocked to find your large pill bottle about 1/4 full! I do not know why this manufacturer insists on using such a large bottle. The capsules are quite small. 120 of them could easily fit in a bottle about 1/4 to 1/3 of the size these pills come in. I have been taking the pills for less than a week, and have not noticed any particular difference related to muscle soreness after exercise, let alone aging skin (that I have!). I like the fact that the pills are made in Canada. I will probably continue to use them for their anti-oxidant benefits.

I'm a big believer and long time regular user of daily antioxidants, I switch between different sources often and have tried putting many of them into my regular routine and do believe that they're an important thing to do for your body. Of course, I have no actual evidence of what is happening when you take them and just have to trust the science - these don't magically do anything that gives you noticeable differences. It's more of a maintenance item, hopefully keeping problems at bay longer than they would be otherwise. I've never taken Astaxanthin before this but found no noticeable side effects or anything switching to it. This particular supplement is a full 60 day supply, and each dose is on the high side of things from my research for this particular compound. The Herba brand has proven to be a high quality and trustworthy source of various supplements for me and I have no reason to believe this one is any different. The only thing that I'd like is if it were fully made in Canada, as it is it's only really half made here as it appears the actual compound is made overseas (assumably) and the only thing happening here is bottling - it's still better than fully made elsewhere.

I have taken different brands of astaxanthin for a while for to help with my eye issues and 15mg is on the high end of dosing. This bottle came properly sealed with good dating and the capsules are easy to swallow. My big issue with this and other Herba supplements that I have ordered is the large waste of packaging. I could fit all the capsules in this bottle into 2 capfuls. I would rate this a 5/5 if it was in a proper sized container as it is a huge waste of plastic and space for nothing.

Astaxanthin has anti-oxidant properties and is indicated as helpful for brain health and cognitive function, vision, skin and can even help with fertility. I have seen it used in pills for eye health but had not previously been aware of the cognitive benefits of this supplement. I look forward to trying it.
